Rocky Mountain National Park

In lieu of traveling to see friends and family for Thanksgiving, we decided to start a new tradition. We took ourselves up to Rocky Mountain National Park for the day! With it being my first time driving on icy mountain roads, we decided to leave early to beat all of the traffic. Good news- I didn’t drive off the mountain!

We had a lot of fun wandering around some trails exploring a small part of this incredible park. On the way in, we saw some elk just hanging out beside the road. They are huge! Taller than my car, and super fuzzy. The rest of the critters were very similar to what we’re used to in North Carolina, though the deer are much fuzzier.

All in all, this was a wonderful trip. We only experienced a minuscule part of what RMNP has to offer, and I cannot wait to see more of it.
